The merge process was unable to deliver the snapshot to the Subscriber

C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\ReplData

Solution : Change default snapshot folder settings to full qualified network name
\\SRVSQL001\C$\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\ReplData

has this really sorted this problem out?

I have replication going on for months, always working, and only now I got this error.

The merge process was unable to deliver the snapshot to the Subscriber. If using Web synchronization, the merge process may have been unable to create or write to the message file. When troubleshooting, restart the synchronization with verbose history logging and specify an output file to which to write. (Source: MSSQL_REPL, Error number: MSSQL_REPL-2147201001)

The process could not bulk copy into table '"dbo"."MSmerge_contents"'. (Source: MSSQL_REPL, Error number: MSSQL_REPL20037)

I also have over 300 subscribers, only 2 or 3 are having this issue.

is there anything else we could add to this answer?

also, if I dont ask too much, in what way should I change this default folder? Maybe the fix is in changing.

thanks already for this post.
kind regards
